:: Mutual Aid Barn Fire :::
On Wednesday August 4, 2010 - Warwick FD was called
to assist the Florida Fire Department at the scene of a barn
fire on Meadow Road just outside the Village of Florida.
Due to very limited water resources in the area multiple
alarms were sounded for mutual aid tankers as well as
engines to set up drafting operations. High heat and
humidity quickly took a toll on the firefighters and
additional companies were called to the scene to supplement
the available manpower.

attached house. While exterior crews fought to control the
fire that consumed the garage, other firefighters attacked
the fire from the interior of the home successfully pushing
it back before it could gain a foothold in the attic.
Mutual Aid was received from the Chester Fire Department’s
F.A.S.Team, which responded to the scene, and the Florida
